Conversation Map set missing map or damaged
If you've attended a Conversation Map training session and have received a set of Conversation Map tools with a missing or damaged Conversation Map, please contact Healthy Interactions by visiting their site at register@healthyi.com.
If you have already gone through Conversation Map training, below you will find resources to support you as you get acclimated to this new facilitation style and integrate the Conversation Map tools into your practice. The resources include:
- Getting-started videos that review key tips on setting up the room, preparing the materials, orienting the group to the Conversation Map tool, and more.
- Best-practices videos that illustrate effective tactics for keeping patients engaged and actively listening and for managing challenging group members.
- Downloadable PDFs of some of the Conversation Map materials that you may want to use to print additional copies.
To access these Conversation Map resources, you must (1) have an account on the Healthyi Web site and (2) have participated in a Conversation Map training session. After you have completed a session, your trainer will give you access to these resources, which will be available to you when you log in about 24 hours after your training session.

A Conversation Map tool is a series of images and metaphors on a 3-foot by 5-foot tabletop display. It serves as a facilitation tool for health care professionals to use to engage groups of patients in conversations around a health care topic, such as diabetes, heart health, or obesity.
How is a Conversation Map tool used?
The health care professional places the Conversation Map tool on a tabletop and sits around the table with patients. The health care professional uses the facilitator’s guide to help navigate through the Conversation Map tool. The health care professional engages 3 to 10 patients in interactive activities that identify facts and myths around the health care topic and uncover information on key topics related to the health condition.
What makes Conversation Map tools work?
The Conversation Map tools are designed to transform health education. Health educators use the tools to engage patients in conversations that facilitate discovery learning, which leads to patients identifying and making behavior changes.
How do Conversation Map tools fit into health care education?
Conversation Map tools are used by health care professionals who deliver education to patients. The Conversation Map tools can be used by any health care professional, and each Conversation Map tool takes about 60 to 90 minutes to go through.
